During their second test day at Paul Ricard HTTT, Renault F1 Team (Heikki Kovalainen / Giancarlo Fisichella), McLaren Mercedes (Pedro de La Rosa / Gary Paffett), BMW Sauber (Jacques Villeneuve / Robert Kubica), Panasonic Toyota Racing (Ricardo Zonta / Olivier Panis) and Red Bull Racing (Robert Doornbos / Vitantonio Liuzzi), concentrated their efforts on tyre tests for the coming San Marino Grand Prix on the 23rd April, the first European race of this season.

The exceptional summer weather conditions allowed good tests with 20°C air temperature and 33°C on the track this afternoon. The chosen track solution was the same than yesterday, 3E SC (3,818 km). Spanish driver Pedro de La Rosa (McLaren Mercedes) set today's the fastest lap in 1:04.231.

The test will continue tomorrow on the same track solution for the last day of the session. All teams will drive except Red Bull Racing.
