Alesi-Sauber hookup confirmed
It will be officially announced Monday that Jean Alesi will join Sauber Formel 1 for atleast the 1998 season. Sauber has been able to confirm this via the WWW.
The Frenchman visited the factory in Hinwil last Monday and has signed a 'pre-contract' with the Swiss team. He will be back Monday to sign the real thing.
The terms of the surprise deal were not divulged, but it is believed that he will receive approximately the same=20 salary, and that the contract is only for the 1998 season.
