Franck completed over 150 laps during tyre testing today, while Giancarlo suffered mechanical problems.
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team experienced a mixed day in testing today at Jerez. While Franck Montagny completed significant mileage, running 668 km in total, Giancarlo Fisichella completed only a limited number of laps owing to mechanical problems. However, these will not hamper the smooth running of his programme tomorrow.
Christian Silk, Chief Test Engineer:
"Franck did a great job today: he concentrated on long runs with the tyres, and completed a substantial programme. We learned a lot about the tyre behaviour, and development is progressing well."
"On the other side of the garage, Giancarlo only completed a small number of laps owing to several mechanical difficulties. However, during the laps he did complete, he found the car to be well-balanced and his times were competitive."
