The most prestigious Russian winter oval race on ice - annual "Race of Stars" run by the biggest Russian car magazine "Za Rulem" (Behind the wheel) - is to take place on February 23, 2014 at the Moscow Central Hippodrome. The best Russian drivers invited by the Editor-in-chief of "Za Rulem" magazine will be competing not only for the Prize of the Race but also for the advantage to win the demo race against a Formula 1 driver invited by the general partner of the event, Renault Russia.

This year, for the second time, the guest driver of the event will be Romain Grosjean, driver for Lotus F1 Team in the 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship. Renault Duster will be the official vehicle of the Race of Stars "Za Rulem".

Romain Grosjean, the famous French driver, will drive a Duster sports version in the Race of Stars "Za Rulem" promotional races. He has already participated in the "Race of Stars" in 2011, when he was a test driver for Lotus Renault GP. During the last Formula 1 season Romain showed good results, steadily gaining points and was on the podium six times with his Renault-powered car.

The "Race of Stars" is the oldest Russian winter motorsport competition, the very first start of the event was given by the Editor-in-chief of "Za Rulem" magazine back in 1978. Since then, it's traditionally been held on oval tracks of about 1.6 km length. The regulations of the competition are somewhere close to French Andros Trophy. One of the differences is that there's no free entry, only drivers who are invited by the Editor-in-chief of "Za Rulem" magazine are allowed to compete. Recent years this race, widely renowned in Russia, takes place in the very central of Moscow, few kilometers from Kremlin on the icy oval of the Moscow Hippodrome.

By the latest years tradition, renowned international drivers take part in promotional races of the event organized on sport cars built by Renault Russia. The guests of honour of the "Race of Stars" in different years were such drivers as Alain Prost, Sebastien Loeb, Kimi Raikkonen, Charles Pic, Nelson Piquet Jr, Vitaly Petrov, David Coulthard, Jerome d'Ambrosio, Vladimir Chagin and Firdaus Kabirov
