Ecclestone '6th Richest'

Bernie Ecclestone has been named the 6th richest person in Britain, with £1.5 billion. This includes money from the future float of F1. Tom Walkinshaw and Frank Williams were joint 254th with £85 million. Tom Wheatcroft (of Donington Park) 357th (£60m) and Ron Dennis 398th (£55m). Eddie Jordan was ranked 880th with £20m.

Golden Gate Park now favourite

The US Grand Prix has another favourite in the running now, with a planned circuit around Golden Gate Park, rather than out of town near a US military base. Expect another favourite next week.... -- Stephen M Baines
