New Toyota test driver Stephane Sarrazin has his first drive with the team as official test driver today at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. Sarrazin tested the TF102 in a what is a two-day session, concentrating on electronic settings, launch and traction control as well as new engine specifications. He had a busy time as new aerodynamic parts were also being tried out.

"Driving the Toyota TF102 for the first time I am very satisfied with the results we have achieved in this session," Sarrazin said. "The car feels quite good although I had to get used to the left-foot braking. We decided to do an engine reliability test that worked out positive. Both engines we used run for more than 400 kilometres before they reached the end of their lives."

Toyota now head for Malaysia for the second Grand Prix of the season next weekend. The test team make tracks for Barcelona where other new tester Australian Ryan Briscoe will have his first run for the team this month.
