Team SAUBER PETRONAS completed its three-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya today, with Nick Heidfeld taking over driving duties in the Sauber Petronas C21. He set the 14th fastest time of 1m20.416s and covered 99 laps.
Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of vehicle Engineering):
"Once again the fine weather and the reliability of the C21 helped us to complete our busy programme. This morning Nick was able to consolidate the information that Felipe gathered yesterday regarding brake configuration for Brazil, and this afternoon we finalised our aerodynamic set-up for that race and finished our tyre test programme with Bridgestone."
Nick Heidfeld:
"We did a lot of running today. Barcelona is one of the tougher tracks on the calendar. We never configured the car for quick lap times, but instead focused on race running and were able to gather a great deal of valuable data. There's a lot to cover in our debrief before Brazil."
Weather: Warm and dry.
Temperature: Track 29C Air 24C
Distance: 99 laps and 469.26 kms
