Teamauber Petronas started its three-day test at the Pista di Fiorano today. Giancarlo Fisichella covered 165 laps in chassis C23-05 to set a best time of 0:57.613. Giancarlo Fisichella will continue testing tomorrow before Felipe Massa will take over the driving on Thursday.

Giampaolo Dall'Ara (Race Engineer):

"Our overall target this week is the preparation for the Monaco race in May. Today in the morning we worked on finding a good car balance and assessed several aerodynamic parts resulting from our wind tunnel investigations. Some of the new components we could test already in Imola last weekend, but there are several new parts which we will examine this week in Fiorano."

"Later we worked on Bridgestone tyre constructions and also evaluated brakes with the focus on the long-term. Overall this was quite a good day for us. We did a lot of work and were able to complete our programme for today."

Giancarlo Fisichella
Chassis: C23-05
