Team RED BULL SAUBER PETRONAS continued its three-day test programme at the Valencia circuit in Spain today, in readiness for August's Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring. Nick Heidfeld took over the driving duties, setting the day's fastest time of 1m14.385s in the course of 88 laps.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Test engineer): "Today we continued yesterday's programme of mechanical set-up for Hungary. After analysing all of the data from a wide range of set-ups yesterday we are now running the optimum set-ups. We believe that during the course of yesterday's tests we went a long way to solving the traction problem that hampered us at Monaco, a circuit that is very similar in its technical requirements to both the Hungaroring and Valencia."

Nick Heidfeld: "We did a lot of laps today, and I am encouraged by our performance and the fact that we had a completely trouble free day. The car felt good and the traction was certainly better in the tight corners. The Bridgestone tires that we fitted were very efficient to help us through the program."
