Severe weather conditions at Spa-Francochamps meant that Saturday practice for the Belgian Grand Prix was restricted to a single 13 minute session.
Jaguar Racing drivers Christian Klien and Mark Webber had time for just six laps each before the late-starting session was ended two minutes prematurely because of a red flag incident for Gianmaria Bruni's Minardi.
"It was worth going out just to get a feel for how the car was in those conditions," said Webber, "because qualifying may be held in these conditions, even though our forecasts at the moment say it will be mainly dry by then. Visibility was terrible but the car felt basically good and well balanced. That's all there is to say really."
"It's meant that we have not been able to do final preparations with tyres etc if the qualifying turns out to be dry," said Dr Mark Gillan, "but we're in the same boat as everyone else in that respect, so we just have to deal with it as it comes."
