Spanish GP Saturday Arrows notes

Following this morning’s productive practice, the Orange Arrows drivers, Pedro de la Rosa and Jos Verstappen had a very successful qualifying session in the heat of Barcelona, with Pedro achieving 9th on the grid for his home Grand Prix and Jos qualifying close behind in 12th.

"Well I’ve finally I’ve made it in the top ten. It was really difficult at the start of the season but I’m really happy for the team, especially after yesterday when I let them down. The car was very good from first thing this morning, and I think we probably had our best session so far and I worked very well with my engineer. The set-up was very good which shows in the end result and the car was very consistent during qualifying. I hope tomorrow will be as successful".

"It was a very close qualifying session and we just can’t get the car quite right for me. We’re still having problems that we can’t seem to find the solutions to which affect me in qualifying. The track is better than yesterday, but I would rather be starting higher up the grid so we’ll wait and see what happens".

"They have got the car set-ups going well with good tyres so are looking in good shape for the race. It’s great that Pedro has qualified well in his own country and I know Jos is a little disappointed with his grid position but let’s hope tomorrow continues as well as today has for the team".
