Anthony Davidson concluded the Super Aguri F1 Team official Formula One test at the Autodromo Nationale di Monza today. Following another wet morning his limited test programme comprised a race start simulation test, when he completed 24 laps, and the evaluation of various set-up options whilst running both types of Bridgestone Potenza tyre compounds in the drier conditions of the afternoon.

James Rossiter:

"Unfortunately we had interrupted running due to an electrical issue on day one which took most of the morning to resolve and I could only complete three laps before lunchtime. We had a more successful afternoon when we worked on a programme for next year's ECU and completed some set-up work. We also achieved lots of data collection for race starts, so it ended up being quite a productive day."

Takuma Sato:

"The weather was inconsistent. We started the second day in damp conditions, which improved during the day, but then we had light rain in the afternoon. As we moved into the test programme we suffered two hydraulic problems which interrupted our morning running quite a bit, so we really need to investigate this before next week. There were some positive evaluation outcomes for the Monza aero package, so I am looking forward to coming back for the race next week."

Anthony Davidson:

"The weather has played an unusual role in what is normally a warm test in Italy. It has limited our running for the past two days, but this afternoon were able to concentrate on car set-up for the Italian Grand Prix and learnt a few interesting things. We completed some long runs and it was good to drive the low downforce aero package. The car felt well balanced and I think that we are well prepared for the race next week."

Graham Taylor, Sporting Director:

"Even with the changeable weather, Super Aguri F1 Team was able to get through a great deal of its planned test programme, with the provision for the wet day helping greatly. The drivers and the team are probably a little frustrated with the weather and some of the car issues we have had, however, I would like to thank them all for their efforts, especially with running the extra day."
