Negotiations continue apace with a number of validated parties who are keen to assist Team Lotus in overcoming it's current challenges. With this in mind, in addition to the ongoing loyalty of Team Lotus sponsors and staff, the flood of encouragement and support from media and fans around the world, and the determination of Team Lotus' shareholders to ensure the future of the Team, Managing Director David Hunt has determined to continue to focus all attention on making every effort to contest the 1995 World Championship.

For the time being, therefore, the staff of Team Lotus have been requested to extend the period of voluntary lay-off until January 16th in order to allow management more time to secure their long term futures at Ketteringham Hall.

Having told staff at a meeting this morning that he is extremely grateful for the sacrifices that the employees are making, Hunt went on to say "We have several very positive negotiations under way, a couple of which may bear fruit within the next fortnight or so. I can make no guarantees that we will succeed, but I can assure you all that no stone is being left unturned in our efforts to secure the long term future of the Team; I should add that I am feeling more confident than I was when we last met three weeks ago."
