McLaren continued to test at Barcelona today, with Alex Wurz and David Coulthard on track alongside the Sauber of Nick Heidfeld. Wurz took the top of the time sheets -- despite suffering a blown engine midday -- with a 1.18.194, completing 99 laps in the MP4-16B, one second ahead of Coulthard in the new MP4-17.

Heidfeld, in the C21, was just 0.096 seconds slower than Coulthard, completing 54 laps although the team opted not to make any runs in the afternoon. Sauber rookie Felipe Massa takes over testing duties tomorrow.

Jaguar were due to join the test this week but have postponed the visit while they try and correct a problem with the front wing of the R3. They have chosen to concentrate on straight-line aerodynamic work at the Lurcy-Levis track in France.
