Two drivers - at the head of the Class A and B order - earned perfect scores for near-flawless performances at Austin, while a charging drive and quietly impressive midfield performances were also rewarded with high marks.

Kimi Raikkonen
Rating: 10
Given the slender margins involved, Raikkonen drove an outstanding race to keep control even under intense pressure. Taking the lead at the start, his brief defence against Hamilton at the end of the first stint and closing the gap early in his second were all critical to his win. On top of that, he was only nine-thousandths off Vettel in qualifying. Old-school Raikkonen.

Max Verstappen
Rating: 9
While Verstappen's weekend performance has an asterisk against it given he might have played a part in the Saturday suspension problem (he's adamant he didn't put a wheel out of place), his race performance was superb. Charging through the midfield is straightforward enough, but he nailed the undercut to jump Bottas and had the speed to threaten for victory. Second represented overachievement.
