That is the view of former grand prix driver Ivan Capelli, who does not agree with F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone about Hamilton being the best ever world champion.
Ecclestone said during the Malaysian Grand Prix that Hamilton was doing a better job than Vettel at promoting Formula 1.
"He (Hamilton) is a good guy, he gets out on the street and supports and promotes Formula 1," Ecclestone said.
"I told Sebastian he should do what Lewis is doing – put himself out there. He won four titles but went to ground.
"He should have done the job of world champion."
Capelli, however, believes Vettel's image is better for Formula 1.
The Italian, who is working on securing a new deal for Monza to keep the Italian Grand Prix at the track, says Vettel's win on Sunday has boosted sale tickets for the race.
"I do not agree with Bernie when he says that Hamilton is better for the sport," Capelli told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Walking around with earrings or rapper medallions around your neck has no effect on me.
"But on Sunday I saw Vettel rejoice like a child despite already having four titles in his pocket.
"That's what brings people to the track. After his victory, demand for tickets has increased significantly."
