Williams is the second team to announce its launch date for its 2005 challenger and will make an initial presentation, followed by an official launch at a later date.
The unveiling of the FW27 will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit on January 7th, with the new livery and the, as yet unconfirmed, driver line up. The event is primarily for presentation purposes.
The formal launch will take pace at the Valencia circuit, Spain, on January 31st. There the FW27 will take to the track for the first time in front of the media.
Mark Webber is already confirmed for one race seat in 2005 and the team will be trying out other drivers starting from this week at Barcelona. Antonio Pizzonia will be on track along with Webber, while Anthony Davidson and Nick Heidfeld will try out at Jerez in December.
Sauber was the first team to announce its launch date, the C24 to be presented in Kuala Lumpur on January 11th.
