Valencia - The Superfund World Series by Nissan Teams had not packed their cars yet. After the successful 8th meeting held yesterday in Valencia, with the attendance of 31.000 spectators, today, the Teams open a new page in their 2004 Agenda.

Gabord Competicion, Racing Engineering, Carlin Motorsport, Vergani Formula, Saulnier Racing, KTR, and Zele Racing will spend one day evaluating some of the outstanding drivers of the World Series Light category, and some other young European talents, amongst others.

11 drivers from 10 nationalities have been selected to test the F1-styled Dallara Nissan SN01, powered by a 450 HP engine, and fitted with Michelin tyres (slick).

The nice and dry weather conditions in Valencia will help the race engineers to be more confident at the time they let the new drivers test this F1- sized single-seater.

The only Spanish driver participating in this test (with KTR) will be the young Roldan Rodriguez (19), who finished his Formula Junior meeting with more than a good balance: 2 poles, 1 win and 1 podium position. Rodriguez is originally from Valladolid and currently participates in the Spanish Formula Junior Championship with Porfesa Competicion. This young driver is one of new young promises backed by the RACE (Royal Automobile Spanish Club) support program .

Kurt Molleckens will also test the Belgian ace Marc Goosens.

Carlin Motorsport has line-up the former F1 driver Pedro Lamy. The team will appeal the decision of the stewards after his driver, Narain Kartikheyan, took a 30 seconds penalty for not respecting a stop and go (pit lane speed limit).

The 2003 Champion Team in the World Series by Nissan, Gabord, will test Juan Alvarez, the solid Argentinean leader in the World Series Light category. Gabord will give a chance to Mathias Lauda, also running in this perfomant Series.

To remind that the winner of this Series will receive a bonus of 180.000 Euros to help the driver step in World Series by Nissan category.

Current Euro F3 Series Runner-up, Christian Klien, will test one of the cars of Racing Engineering, alongside the Brazilian driver Ricardo Mauricio.

Marko Asmer, who has already tested this year with BMW WilliamsF1 has been the selected driver for Saulnier Racing.

Current 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Guy Smith, participates in this test with Zele Racing. The British driver did already test the car last Friday, in the Private Sessions, after taking decision of not participate in this meeting.

Milka Duno is the only woman that takes part in this day, with Vergani Formula, alongside Pablo Donoso, one of the most talented drivers in the World Series Light.
