The collective tests continue on the Motorland Aragon track in Spain for the the team of the World Series Renault 3.5 championship just came out of the 2009 season. Draco, fresch out of title, is evaluating the performance of young drivers from various categories, but there are still many question marks about who next year will wear the suit with the toucans (which are 8 now!).
Yesterday, the morning session started late because of dense fog that has invaded the track making it difficult to view. As soon as possible, Stephane Richelmi and Adrian Campos entered in the Draco cabin.
Stephane Richelmi, arrived 6th in Formula 3 Italy with the RC Motorsport team, tested for the first time the car and the circuit with 36 laps and a minimum time of 1:46.242. The driver of Monaco was also on track in the afternoon ending with 1:44.526.
Adrian Campos, coming European F.3 Open, was at his second test on track after the previous day and he tried to reduce his performance with a 1:46.657. Unfortunately the car broke the engine and the Draco mechanics had to replace it.
Despite the speed of work, Daniel Mancinelli, the driver of Marches who drove in the afternoon, he lost a lot of time waiting to enter to the Draco cabin. When Daniel went to the track he has run 35 laps and recorded an excellent time of 1:44.027 winning eighth place in the standings.
Today the third and final session of collective test at Motorland. The Circus WS Renault will move to Barcelona where it will play the second winter session in the first week of November.
