Ten teams pre-selected for 2007
The World Series by Renault Organizing Committee has completed pre-selection of the ten teams that will be invited to take part in the 2007 World Series Formula Renault 3.5 championship. The five other teams will be pre-selected on December 15.
The Organizing Committee consists of Jean-Paul Mari (Motor Sport and Communications Director, Renault Sport), Francois Sicard (Circuit Racing Manager, Renault Sport), Jaime Alguersuari (President, RPM Racing) and Jordi Castells (Motor Sport Director, RPM Racing).
The Committee reviewed 18 pre-registration requests for the 15 available places. The list of the 10 pre-selected teams is as follows (in alphabetical order):
- CARLIN MOTORSPORT
- COMTEC TEAM UNITED KINGDOM
- DRACO MULTIRACING USA
- EPSILON EUSKADI
- EUROINTERNATIONAL
- INTERWETTEN.COM RACING
- KTR
- PREMA POWER TEAM
- RC MOTORSPORT
- TECH 1 RACING
The following teams (in alphabetical order) have expressed interest in taking part and have been placed on the waiting list:
- CRAM COMPETITION
- EURONOVA RACING
- FORTEC
- GREAT DANE RACING
- JENZER MOTORSPORT
- PONS RACING
- SIGNATURE
- VICTORY ENGINEERING
The second phase involves the pre-selected teams signing a participation agreement by January 15, 2007. The Organizing Committee has requested further information from the eight teams placed on the waiting list. The final five pre-selected teams will be chosen on December 15.
