Mika Salo as mentor

In the 2009 season, ArtLine Racing secured the ATS Formula 3 Trophy title courtesy of its experienced driver Sergey Chukanov (UKR) and now, the team has confirmed the signing of two young drivers for the forthcoming season in Germany's fastest single-seater series. This year, the team will rely on Formula 3 rookies: it is going to contest the 2010 season with Finland's 18-year old Aleksi Tuukkanen who makes the step up to the ATS Formula 3 Cup right from karting and with 17-year old German Riccardo Brutschin who already has gathered some single-seater racing experience in the ADAC Formula.

Two-time KF2 Champion (2008 and 2009) Aleksi Tukkanen takes a realistic point of view regarding the forthcoming season: "With ArtLine and in Formula 3 I will have to cope with a clearly higher benchmark. I know that the expectations will high but I also am aware that meeting these expectations will be anything but easy."

With former Formula 1 ace and Team Principal Mika Salo, the two young guns can rely on a mentor who is able to provide them with advice not only when it comes to the on-track action alone.

Riccardo Brutschin also has been a successful kart racer. In the 2009 ADAC Formula Master season, however, he had to cope with ups and downs. Nonetheless, he is very optimistic. "With ArtLine Racing, I have got a strong partner for 2010. The team staff is extremely experienced and knows Formula 3 really well. So, I will have the chance of learning a lot, this year. Therefore, I'm confident and look forward to my maiden Formula 3 season."

The two Formula 3 rookies are aware that they will have to battle it out with an extremely competitive field, this year. And although they don't want to pressurise themselves they are determined to give their very best.

Both Aleksi Tuukkanen and Riccardo Brutschin will race an ArtTech F24 OPC Challenge and contest the ATS Formula 3 Trophy.

On 24th and 25th March, the ArtLine Racing squad tested with its new driver line-up under the supervision of Team Manager Jari Rask at Assen.
