Three-time Australian Formula 3 Championship winning outfit Team BRM has today confirmed a major expansion of its Formula 3 program though a new partnership with Opes Prime. This follows Opes Prime's support for the team in 2007.

All the Mercedes powered F307's have been sourced from both the Signature and Prema Poweteam F3 Euroseries operations ensuring top-class machinery for their 2008 campaign.

The plans complete a major period of expansion for the Adelaide-based team that will once again run several cars in the Australian Formula Ford Championship.

"We are very pleased to announce our 2008 plans," Team BRM director Mark Rundle said.

"Our relationship with Anthony and Opes Prime in the second half of the 2007 season has produced several wins and podiums and has been very successful -- something we are confident will carry on into the next season."

"We are looking forward to getting the new cars in Australia and launching a very strong campaign to win our fourth championship."

"We have also had the chance to meet and work with Lee throughout this season and we are very pleased to work with him next season with the aim of winning the National Class title as well as the Gold Star." Rundle added.

"We're particularly excited to support Team BRM in 2008 and see the team in line with Opes Prime - both young ventures with great teams that aspire to dominate our respective areas of expertise. As we move more aggressively into the Australian market, we believe our support of Team BRM will pay dividends in exposing the Opes Prime brand to the Australian public."

Opes Prime / Team BRM driver Barton Mawer will race at Oran Park, next weekend, in the final round of the 2007 championship.
