IT: Misano round two preview

Everything ready at the renewed track of Misano for the second round of the season

After a month long break, everything is ready at the "Santamonica" track of Misano Adriatico for the second round of the "Campionato Italiano Formula 3". The circuit has been deeply renewed. First of all lap direction that is now clockwise.

Last year's weekend at Misano was the ending round of the season and it saw Davide Rigon (Corbetta Competizioni) ruler not only in qualify but in both races as well.

This year things are different: the renewal of the track constitutes a new challenge for all drivers and technicians, that will have to work from scratch without the help of any data collected in previous occasions.

The championship classification sees Paolo Maria Nocera (Lucidi Motors) at the lead with 22 points, followed by Efisio Marchese (Europa Corse) with 18 and Mirko Bortolotti (Team Minardi by Corbetta competizioni) standing at 10 points.

"We started our season in the best way at Adria but the championship is quite tight and for this reason we will need to work hard for the whole season to fight for the title. The Santamonica will be a brand new track for everyone due to the renewal. No one has ever lapped here: the competence of our guys and the experience of Nocera may be another strenght point that we will try to exploit to be again at the lead".

"Since the Team's headquarter is within 50km from the track this is our home race. Last year we obtained a good sixth final place after holding long the fifth place. I am a bit concerned about weather forecasts: rain is scheduled and in these wheather conditions our car does not give its best as showed at Adria".

Jacopo Faccioni (Scuderia NT) #"Misano was my favourite track, at least it was up to last year. In 2007 I did not have the chance to have a go with it but I hope I will be able to find quickly the right rythm and feeling with the track to give the right directions to my technicians to help them to set up the car properly".
