Monza, Cinti finishes the season third in rookies' classification
The concluding round of the Italian Formula 3 2009 championship at Monza definitely gave Riccardo Cinti the third place in the rookies' classification and the ninth in the absolute classification. The driver from Lazio has been victim of an exit during qualifying on Saturday which relegated him to the last row, nevertheless, a good recovery in race one allowed him to finish ninth and to get into points. He was forced to the retirement due to technical reasons in race two.
Close to the top ten Michael Dalle, eleventh in both races at his comeback with the team.
Angelo Corbetta (Team Principal):
"Monza, despite being the home race, confirmed to be not very favorable to our colors. Qualifying penalyzed our weekend especially in the case of Cinti, victim of an exit that relegated him to the last row. After the ninth place obtained yesterday, we tried to modify the setup but unfortunately we did not obtain the results we hoped for. His third place in rookies' classification, despite not taking part to two races, is anyway an extremely positive result.
Dalle Stelle had a progressive power loss which partially slowed him down, but he managed to finish both races. Congratulations of the whole team go to Zampieri and BVM-Target for the 2009 title".
