Marchese gives an encore at Magione

20/05/07 - After the victory in race one achieved this morning, Efisio Marchese scored another victory and the race fastest lap. Same podium of race one in race two, shared again with Mirko Bortolotti and Nicola de Marco respectively second and third.

Thanks to this result the Europa Corse's driver strenghtens his championship leadership with 49 points, followed Paolo Maria Nocera with 41 and Mirko Bortolotti with 35.

Next round of the "Campionato Italiano Formula 3" is scheduled from June the 30th to July the 1st at Mugello.

Efisio Marchese
"I will remember this weekend for a long time: everything was perfect. I did not give anything to my opponents and, thanks to two pole positions, two victories and two race fastest laps I will be the leader of the classification at least till next race at Mugello. I dedicate this victory to my girlfriend Pamela who always follows me on track and gives me the right determination to face the competition".

Mirko Bortolotti
"As seen in race one, Magione's track does not allow too many overtakings. At the start I was in the external lane, an unfavourable one both for the lower grip and for the trajectory. Marchese had a good start and there was no chance to attack him. The team worked well and gave me a competitive car: if I had started from the pole position I'd had possible won".

Nicola de Marco
"The car was not at its maximum and therefore the third place is a good result. I had the pace to reach Bortolotti but some slow downs due to lappings vanished my efforts".
