First victory for Marchese at Magione

20/05/2007 - Efisio Marchese keeps on dominating the Magione racing weekend. After the pole position obtained yesterday, the Europa Corse's driver obtained his first victory in Formula 3, ahead of Mirko Bortolotti and Nicola de Marco that complete the podium.

In the "Trofeo Nazionale", the victory was achieved by Marco Brozzi. Thanks to this victory, Marchese, author of the fastest lap too, reaches the top of the classification with 38 points, followed by Nocera with 36. Race 1 results:

Efisio Marchese
"The first victory of my career: brilliant. It has been a perfect weekend so far: double pole, victory, fastest lap and top of the table! I had a good race pace during the whole race; the safety car could have caused me problems during the re-start but everything went fine and I was able to administer my own advantage. I'd like to go out with a bang with a good race two now".

Mirko Bortolotti
"The second place is a very good result. Termine was losing oil and the car was difficult to drive during first laps. If I had set off from the pole position, I would have had been in condition to fight for the victory, but this track does not offer to many chances for a recovery".

Nicola de Marco
"I had setup problems again and it was not possible to get more out of the race. The podium is a satisfactory result. This is my Formula 3 debut season and I got on points in all races so far, I cannot be but satisfied".
