Imola: the first verdicts are awaited from the sixth round of the season Team Ghinzani counts on Salvatore Cicatelli to get the first victory of the season; in parallel, the chances are growing for Alessandro Cicognani of getting in the classification top ten after the progresses shown at Varano.
The objective of Corbetta Competizioni will be to place again on the podium Riccardo Cinti. RP Motorsport will be present for the first time with three single seaters given to Kevin Ceccon, David Fumanelli and Biagio Bulnes, the latter involved in the CSAI cup.
Gloria Pro Team will carry on their first season trying to take for the first time both drivers into points.
Both races will be broadcast live by the satellite channel Nuvolari (SKY Italy 218).
The circuit "Enzo e Dino Ferrari" of Imola is about to house this weekend the third-to-last round of the Italian Formula 3 championship 2009 which will give the first verdicts on who will be able to fight for the title in a season finale that announces to be as tight as ever.
Lights on the classification leader Daniel Zampieri (BVM-Target, 115 points) and on his team mate Marco Zipoli, currently second 16 points adrift. The team of Giuseppe Mazzotti and Roberto Venieri , after the one-two at Varano de' Melegari will aim at striking again in a season lived as protagonists.
Great ambitions for the ruling champion team Lucidi Motors too: Sergio Campana is hopeful of recovering the 21 point gap from Zampieri while Francesco Prandi and Edoardo Liberati will definitely aim at points.
Daniel Campos-Hull (Prema Powerteam, 82 points) completes the picture of drivers aiming at the title: the Spaniard is determined to repeat the success scored at Magione to relaunch his classification. Similarly, Francesco Castellacci, who in several occasions proved to be able to fight for top positions, will not miss the chance to get again on the podium.
Alan Racing team are working to award the second seasonal success to the Mygale that found in Pablo Sanchez-Lopez a great interpreter, while the constant growth of Angelo Fabrizio Comi could get some more points for the Lombard team.
RC Motorsport is ready to fight with Stephane Richelmi, the only driver able to keep in the latest two rounds the pace of the top couple. The team lead by Cristiano Giardina will line up for the first time Samuele Buttarelli in place of Stefanos Kamitsakis.
