Vallelunga: the comment of protagonists

After the victory of Cesar Ramos in race one and that of Sergio Campana in race two at Vallelunga, the comment of protagonists closes the sixth round of the Italian Formula 3 2010 Championship.

Cesar Ramos (BVM-Target):
"Saturday has been a practically perfect day, the pole position arrived and then the victory. The team accomplished as usual an excellent work on the car both in qualifying and in the race: I lost something at the start but I managed to keep the first position. Also today, at the start, I gave away a couple of positions but the seventh final place and the fastest lap of the race are a good result for the championship that allow me to increase my advantage in the classification".

Daniel Mancinelli (Team Ghinzani):
"In race one I had some difficulties at the getaway, but I managed to recover in the following laps even if I was not faster than Ramos and it was therefore impossible to try an attack. In race two I had an electric problem which forced me to the retirement: that was a pity as in that moment I was ahead of him and I had the chance to recover a few points. These are things that happen during a season and I will give the maximum in the final two rounds to get back on top of standings".

Stephane Richelmi (Lucidi Motors):
"Vallelunga confirmed that the title fight will be very fought until the end. In race one, before the safety car was deployed, I tried to overtake Ramos but after the restart Mancinelli has been good at overtaking me under braking. In the following stages I was probably slightly faster than him but he did not commit any mistakes and I finished third. The sixth place in race two awarded me with the second place in the classification and now it will be crucial to aim to the victory at Mugello".

Andrea Caldarelli (Prema Junior):
"We expected something more from qualifying and, considering our hard preparation work to the weekend, the fourth place was not great. I did not give up anyway and I started race one well, after this, unfortunately, Campana went wide at Soratte turn and hit the rear of my single seater forcing me to the retirement. In race two I luckily brought home some useful points for the classification, whereby I now have two DNFs and therefore I do not have any more results to discard available. The final four races will certainly be crucial".

Sergio Campana (Lucidi Motors):
"I am exremely satisfied for getting back to the victory one year after my last success, which I harvested here at Vallelunga in 2009's race one. Today it has not been a particularly positive day due to a misunderstanding and the race last just one lap. Today everything went well and after taking the lead in the initial stages I controlled fairly easily the race; this is a victory that I needed and that will be certainly useful to raise team's as well as my morale".

Andrea Roda (RC Motorsport):
"This has been a positive weekend, as proved by the tenth place in race one but I still have to improve in qualifying; I am working with the team along this direction anyway. Unfortunately, in race one I found myself in the scrap and and I had to brake on the grass to avoid a contact which made me unavoidably lose the control of the car. My thoughts are now on the test at Mugello scheduled for next week, whereby I hope the hard work we have done during winter could emerge".

Alberto Cerqui (Ombra Racing):
"This hasn't been an easy weekend and I could express as I wanted only in race two: I recovered quite well and I lapped several times on the lap-times of the fastest drivers. Considering my starting position, the podium of the rookies is a great result that gives a measure of the potential we had on this track; now two rounds remain to be run in the next month and I intend to give my best to finish the season third of the rookies".
