Victory and title to Bortolotti

When Bortolotti crossed the finish line celebrations started on the pits of the team led by Gabriele Lucidi, who obtained the second title in a row after 2007 victory of Paolo Maria Nocera.

The battle for the third position is still open instead: Salvatore Cicatelli (BVM-Target), thanks to the fourth place harvested today, is ten points clear of Castellacci and Nava both from Lucidi Motors, and eleven on Marco Zipoli (Team Minardi by Corbetta). Great await for the second manche for them, which is scheduled for tomorrow at 11.00 GMT to give the final verdicts of one of the most thrilling season of the recent years.

Mirko Bortolotti is the Formula 3 Italian Champion 2008. The driver from Trento of Lucidi Motors ruled race one since the first lap and obtained the fastest lap of the race on the Roman track of Vallelunga, last round of the season.

Only fifth his title rival, Edoardo Piscopo (Team Ghinzani), who recovered three positions after the eighth place obtained in qualifying.
