CHICAGO, IL---Dave McMillan, President of DM racing has a long history of racing success. McMillan himself was a former Formula Atlantic Champion in 1982, a Super Vee championship team manager for Ralt American in 1989 and 1990, and a former Formula Atlantic team manager with Ralt American in 1994. McMillan's most recent addition to his championship resume the inaugural 2000 United States Formula Three Championship powered by Volkswagen.
McMillan is very excited for the upcoming 2001 season to start, where he will be out to defend his team's championship title. McMillan has been testing new drivers earlier this month at Savanna Georgia for potential spots in the upcoming 2001 USF3 season. When asked about their potential as drivers in the series, McMillan said: "these drivers are all very fast, and every one of them is more than capable of wining. One driver from Europe that we have been testing showed some extremely fast track times and given the opportunity to run next year, he could set the pace for the upcoming season. When asked for the names of these potential new additions to the USF3 Championship, McMillan declined to answer.
McMillan was pleased with how the 2000 season went, and is hoping to continue with his winning ways in 2001. The DM Racing team has made many new developments on the Ralt since last season and is pleased with how the car has been performing. McMillan went on to say, " I feel the car has developed a lot further since the end of last season. We have been making changes to the gear box, which have enabled us to increase the cars performance."
Stuart Crow, the inaugural 2000 champion, has decided to retire from full time racing at the end of the past season, wanting to end his career on a high note. Crow added, " I love racing, and I do not plan to leave it entirely, I am still planning on overseeing some young protege drivers and maybe even still enter a few races, because I just really love those cars and the excitement I get from being behind the wheel."
