Steinhof wins second race of the season too

With a perfect start-finish victory at the EuroSpeedway Maciek Steinhof extended his lead in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup. As in the season opener at Hockenheim, the 24-year-old Pole again defeated the German Kris Heidorn, who as the best junior finished as the runner-up in front of Dennis Rieger from Kempten, Germany, with a razor-thin lead of about one tenth of a second. The best driver of the Legends classification was the former DTM Champion Kurt Thiim (Denmark) in eighth place. Thanks to the innovative push-to-pass technology used in the Scirocco R-Cup which provides the 225-hp sport coupes with a short-term power boost by 50 hp the enthusiastic audience at the EuroSpeedway witnessed an extremely captivating race.
