Farfus impresses in Team JMB's test with a Ferrari.
The Brazilian Augusto Farfus Junior (Credicard and Varig driver) completed his first test with a 360 Ferrari Modena in Daytona (in preparation of the next 24 Hours of Daytona race) with an excellent result.
On the famous circuit of Daytona, rich of lots of histories in the motor racing world, Augusto and the Team JMB Giesse Ferrari (which whom the Woolwick Management Group has found an agreement for the participation of the Brazilian driver to some of the most famous and prestigious races of the FIA GT championship) closed the test signing the best 2nd position in their category.
Thanks to the result of the young Farfus, thanks to the collaboration of other drivers, and to the professionalism of the Team itself, Augusto impressed the American and North- American media being the younger driver (only 19 years old) in the history of the Daytona race. Also Team JMB Giesse Ferrari has expressed its satisfaction for Augusto's results; on the other side the Brazilian driver has reached in a while a good feeling with the team and the Italian team mate Christian Pescatori (31 years old and a big experience).
Saturday Farfus was also able to lower C. Pescatori's fastest time.
"I've improved" said Augusto "Christian's lap time which was very competitive, and we are talking about a driver that has already an important experience, we are not speaking about an unknown person!!! I fell well in the car and.it couldn't be different: it's a Ferrari car!"
Augusto Farfus Junior, who is coming back to Brazil where he is going to participate to some different TV programmes, will return to USA on 23rd January for the important event of Palm Beach of the Cavallino Classic (maybe one of the most important and spectacular Ferrari's parade). Then he will flight to Daytona for the first race that will take place on 02nd February and come back to Italy to his team Draco Junior Team and Mr. Morini to prepare to the first appointment of the Season 2003 of the Euro 3000 Series, that will be raced at Estoril (Portugal) on 27th April.
