1: M.Webber (Super Nova) 2 D.Manning (Arden Team Russia) 3 T.Enge (Nordic) </pre> The sun and the wind have characterized the 2nd race of the FIA F.3000 season. A good start for both team Durango Benetton Junior drivers. At lap 6 Varano spins and crashes violently against the protection barriers and stops in a dangerous position. Safety car on the track 'till lap 12th. As soon as the S.C. comes back to the pit, Saelens try to overtake Melo and hits him that crashes ruining the front wing and the steering arm. Both retired. With his 6 points Jaime maintains the 3rd position in the drivers classification. Lancieri, started from the back of the grid, ends the race in a satisfactory 13th position.

JAIME MELO:
"When I saw the safety car coming back to the pit I pushed as much as I could in order to gain some important positions, but Saelens hit my car and I lost control of it crashing and making my race to an end. I would have liked to score some points, but at the moment I'm 3rd in the Championship."

GABRIELE LANCIERI:
"I'm quite satisfied with my performance here. I overtook some drivers at green lights. Close to the end of the race I was behind Keen that was loosing a lot of oil so I thought I would have better to stay in my 13th position. I have reduced the gap I had in qualifying and I'm looking forward for Monza's test next Tuesday and Wednesday."
