First Victory for Rookie Driver Luca Persiani

Brands Hatch is one of the traditional racing venues in Europe, also with a lot of valuable memories for ADM's team principal Renato Melchioretto, who worked for Alfa Romeo as an engine technician in the days where the Lombardian manufacturer was competing in Formula 1. Last weekend he came back as an F3000 team principal - very successfully with a victory of his rookie driver Luca Persiani in the Sunday race.

Race 1 Report

Rain made the former Grand Prix track very slippery but Luca Persiani and
Tor Graves made the best of it finishing 5th and 7th respectively, whereas
Russian hopeful Daniil Move collided with Ignazio Belluardo in the 7th lap.

Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal)
"First of all I feel absolutely sorry for Daniil, who impressed us in the rain in qualifying but was very unlucky as he wasn't running at the time when the conditions varied at its best. However we are happy to have Luca in the top 5 and our newcomer Tore Graves in 7th position."

Race 2 Report A glorious highlight for ADM motorsport achieved by their rookie driver Luca Persiani getting the cequered flag in the Sunday race as a very happy winner. The racing Sunday could have ended even better, as Tor Graves was on P2 after the start but ended up in an accident a few corners later - and so did Daniil Move.

Renato Melchioretto
"This is very satisfying result for us and it proves we are still pretty competitive. I am happy for Luca who is now 4th in the drivers championship with big chances to increase his position in the next couple of races. Besides our success on the race track we do also appreciate the news, that the Brasilian event at Curitiba is confirmed. It shows that the International F3000 Masters is on the right way to becoming a real World Championship of Formula 3000."
