Good race for team AEZ I.E. Engineering. Fourth place for Raffaele Giammaria in the Grand Prix of Monaco, International FIA Formula 3000 Championship third race.
AEZ I.E. Engineering is third, whit 16 points, back of Arden, 39 points and BCN, 28.
Seventh at the start, Raffaele Giammaria has preserved its position at the first turn, Sainte Devote, back of Van Hooydonk, Doornbos and Friesacher, drivers slower than Giammaria.
Giammaria did his pit stop during the fourteenth lap. A good pit stop and an intelligent strategy put Giammaria and his AEZ in forth position. Giammaria has driven very fast until the end of the race, as he was on qualifying session.
"I'm very happy" Raffaele Giammaria said "because I was sure to do a good job, here in Monaco. AEZ has been in optimal conditions. A good pit stop and an excellent strategy put me on the fourth position. Then I drove like I'm able to. I had a hard second stint of thirty laps!".
Ferdinando Monfardini was thirteenth under the checkered flag, his first appearance in a city circuit. He was able to make no mistakes, during the week end.
"I wanted to finish the race" Ferdinando Monfardini whispered "and I'm satisfied not to have been involved in incidents".
