D: GU-Racing Oschersleben preview

GU-Racing Team International starts in Formula BMW season.

GU-Racing Team International starts into his second Formula BMW season at the weekend. Together with the DTM will be Race 1 and Race 2 in Oschersleben. Max Wissel (GER), Andrei Harnagea (RUM), Jens Höing (GER), Carlos Gaitan (COL) and Nikolay Varbitzaliev (BUL) are looking with different aims to this weekend. After the testing-days Wissel - who was second in Oschersleben last year - and Höing are one of the candidates for race-wins and for the title as well.

Gaitan and Varbitzaliev want to save places at the front midfield. "I am the once rookie in the team, but I want to reach the top-10 right now", describes Varbitzaliev his aim.

GU-Racing stays in contact with drivers about the sixth cockpit. But there will not be a sixth GU-Racing driver in Oschersleben and at Lausitzring. Because of Rumanian Andrei Harnagea will have his final exams on Friday, he is just able the reach the team on Saturday morning. Andrei will miss important trainings on Friday, but he feels confident for the races.

Team-principal Günther Unterreitmeier about his hopes for the weekend: "Podiums from Max and Jens and top-10 finishes from Carlos Gaitan and Nikolay Varbitzaliev. And all should reach the finish without accidents. That's it."
