Good test for Facu Regalia at Hungary

Facu Regalia had a great test at Hungaroring, showing a pace that put him among the fastest drivers along the two testing days scheduled by BMW for the Budapest circuit.

After the strong rhythm that he imposed at Circuit de Catalunya, in the first round of the season, the Spanish-Argentinean driver kept his competitiveness at Hungaroring, leaving the Magyar circuit with strong hopes for the second round of Formula BMW Europe, which will be held at Zandvoort.

The Eifelland Racing driver showed his pace in the moment he hit the track and signed the fastest lap time of the first day's morning session. "We started very well, as I was the fastest in the Hungaroring's first session and I was with used tires. When we put new rubber it started to drizzle and we decided not to go to the track and keeping the tires for the afternoon", said the eighteen years old driver.

After lunch, when all the drivers had the opportunity to have new tires, the news were still good for the Spanish-Argentinean driver. He signed the fifth fastest time and was the best inside the Eifelland Racing. "I'm very pleased, as I was fifth and was among the main contenders to the championship, and I still think I could improve. I believe we can go faster three tenths, with some changes in the set-up and with some different trajectories in a couple of turns from my side", said Facu Regalia at the end of the day.

In the second day, the youngster was again at the top of the timesheets, proving that he is a force to be considered. "I finished third, 0,060s from the fastest and 0,030 from the second, which is great. Besides, I was the fastest within the team, and I caught some traffic in my lap", underlined the Spanish-Argentinean driver.

In the second day's afternoon, the eighteen years old driver worked in the race set-up and was pleased with the results achieved. "We have a very good race pace. We worked very well during both days and the relationship with my engineer is evolving. The sixth place in the timesheets, in this conditions, is very good", said Facu Regalia.

The eighteen years old driver will have another test session next week, this time at Hockenheim.
