Facu Regalia will debut in GP3 at Jerez

The Spanish-Argentinean driver will have a very important test this week, as he will debut at Jerez de la Frontera in the competitive GP3 series. Facu Regalia will be on track Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with two of the best teams of the category: Addax Team and Status Grand Prix.

After his good debut in the Formula 3 Italia, at September, the nineteen years old driver will try now the GP3 car for the first time. The series managed by Bruno Michel - who runs GP2, also - will have a three days test at Jerez de la Frontera where the teams will evaluate their drivers options for next season. "I'll test with some of the best teams of the series, as are Addax Team, with whom I'll test in the first two days, and Status Grand Prix, in the third. This presents a new opportunity for me, at the highest level, after some weeks without being at the wheel of a formula car", said Facu Regalia.

After making a good impact in the Prema Junior with a Formula 3, showing a pace very similar with the team regular drivers, now "I want to know where I am relative to the GP3 grid, though it is a very competitive series. A GP3 car is faster than a Formula 3 and it will be the first time will be in a single-seater with paddle-shifts in the steering wheel. Besides, I don't know the Jerez lay-out".

The Dallara GP3/10 has a turbo engine developed by Renault, with 280hp, semi-automatic Hewland gearbox and Pirelli tyres. "I prepared myself well and I don't feel any pressure, because we haven't decided my 2011 program, yet. So I want to do my best and evolve day by day", concludes Facu Regalia.
