Formula BMW Talent Cup to visit five European countries - Register from 1st January 2011.
Munich, 29th December 2010. Preparations for the 2011 Formula BMW Talent Cup are in full swing. Following the successful scholarship course in Monteblanco (ES) and a thrilling "shootout" in Valencia (ES), at which Stefan Wackerbauer (DE) earned himself a free place in the BMW Motorsport talent promotion scheme, the regular registration period begins on 1st January 2011. Any interested drivers will then have until 25th February to register for the 2011 Formula BMW Talent Cup.
Anyone wishing to gain experience at the wheel of the Formula BMW FB02 racing car will have the opportunity to do so at a test at the "Circuit de la Comunitat Ricardo Tormo", near Valencia (ES), on 5th and 6th February 2011. The registration deadline for the two test days is 2nd February 2011.
You can find further information on the Formula BMW Talent Cup at www.formula- bmw.com. You can request the documents required to register for the test days in Spain via Email (talent-cup@formulabmw.com). Places for the tests and the Talent Cup entry are assigned on a "first come, first served" basis.
The five theory seminars that form part of the Formula BMW Talent Cup not only feature the basics of single-seater racing, but also topics such as fitness, media relations and a visit to the Nurburgring 24 Hours (DE). The youngsters will also take part in six on-track events. The calendar comprises 18 races in Germany, Sweden, France, Spain and Portugal and is concluded by the "Grand Final" held during the DTM weekend in Oschersleben (DE). An attractive prize awaits the overall winner: BMW will finance a season in the ATS Formula 3 Cup.
