FORMULA BMW PACIFIC CHAMPION GOES KART RACING AT AKOC MACAU BEFORE WINTER HOLIDAYS

Singapore, 10 December 2010 - Following his successful rookie formula car season wrap-up, Formula BMW Pacific champion and top rookie Richard Bradley will be rounding off his 2010 season with the fifth and final round of the Asian Karting Open Championship (AKOC). The former multiple British kart racing champion will be racing in the Formula 125 Senior Open category at the Kartodromo De Coloane in Macau this weekend.

"Karting has always been special to me and something that I will return to when I can. It is a great source of training for any racing driver, mentally or physically, and the Formula 1 drivers for example, return to karting when they can to keep fit," said the 19-year-old Singapore-based driver.

Prior to his formula car debut, Bradley last raced a kart in November 2009 at the WSK International Series when he was a driver for the Maddox works team. The former Super KF (Karting Formula 1) driver is reunited with a Maddox kart for AKOC.

During the four-month break in the 2010 Formula BMW Pacific Championship, Bradley made a successful comeback in kart racing when he won the first round of AKOC at Carmona Circuit in The Philippines in June. He clinched top spot for both timed qualifying sessions, all three heats as well as the pre-final and the final, to claim the title.
