Formula BMW USA Driver Philip Major Delivers In Denver.

Philip Major aiming to help Food Bank of the Rockies after good qualifying session.

Denver, C0 - Canadian Driver Philip Major put in a sterling display during qualifying for round 11 of the Formula BMW USA championship, but his efforts off the track are also a shining example.

Major, from Ottawa, Canada is chipping in to aid the Food Bank of the Rockies by collecting memorabilia from his fellow competitors throughout the weekend, which the FBR will then auction at the Joe & Debbie Sakic Celebrity Bash, on August 23rd at the Inverness Hotel & Conference Center, Engelwood.

On the racetrack - or downtown Denver's city streets, temporarily converted to a circuit for the weekend - Major was on the pace from the 8.00am practice laps until the checkered flag of the qualifying session around mid-day.

"The track has so much flow to it," enthused the Ottawa driver, "it is so wide that passing should definitely be possible. I'm really confident now, and in tomorrow's qualifying and afternoon race I will be doing everything possible to get the best results that I can."

FBMWUSA round 11 and 12 will run on the 12th and 13th of July as part of the Grand Prix of Denver weekend.
