Armand moves to GP2 with Trident
Indonesian racer Philo Paz Armand will contest his debut season in GP2 in 2016, having signed with Trident Racing.
Armand, 19, completes the Italian team's roster, with GP3 runner-up Luca Ghiotto having been confirmed as the team's first signing earlier this week.
A junior single-seater regular since 2013, Armand was part of Pons' Formula Renault 3.5 line-up last year and scored a solitary point at Monaco.
Trident manager Giacomo Ricci, a GP2 race winner back in 2010, commented: "We are very excited to start this collaboration with Philo and we are confident he will express all his talent thanks to the team’s help."
Armand is the second Indonesian driver to join the ranks of the GP2 series for 2016, with compatriot Sean Gelael having secured a Campos deal earlier.
