The Portuguese Ocean Racing Technology team is contesting the 2009 GP2 Championship with drivers Alvaro Parente and Karun Chandhok, obtaining their first podium last weekend at Silverstone thanks to the Indian driver. Despite its youth, the team has always been competitive on the stairway to Formula One and as such has already started collecting its first trophies.

Director of Clasus, Jose Santos, attended the recent Silverstone races where he witnessed the expertise of the Portuguese team. As a result his company, which operates in the technology market for Education and Health by exploiting advanced processes, decided to join Ocean Racing technology for a new and innovative partnership.

Clasus is a Portuguese company which is represented in 40 countries and was founded back in 2002. Penetrating the market five years ago, the aim is to provide their partners with the best technological, educational and ergonomic advancements, such as interactive whiteboards. For Jose Guedes, CEO of Ocean Racing Technology, this new partnership will generate a special increase in the technical value of their racing team. "High level competition is a fabulous technological window and this partnership between Ocean Racing Technology and Clasus is extremely important to us. Clasus is a leader in its field as well as a pioneer and they will help us benefit from an increase in value in the field of technology. Ocean Racing Technology is proud and delighted and we are sure this partnership will be profitable for both companies."

Clasus and Ocean Racing Technology

"The need of a constant innovation in the technology field forces you to find new partnerships between companies which have experience in different domains. This is why, at Clasus, we are seeing this partnership as an excellent opportunity to do an exchange of know-how that will make the joint development of new products/solutions possible," explains Jose Santos, CEO of Clasus who believes this partnership could surprise the market with specific and special developments.

Clasus initiated this project back in 2004 and it includes technological and educational knowledge. With this partnership, Clasus is aiming to strengthen its momentum and market assault of the last 15 months, together with its worldwide partners.
