DAMS IN THE PACE FOR FINAL GP2 TEST BEFORE 1ST RACE

Barcelona , 14th April 2005 -- DAMS is leaving Barcelona test with satisfying 4th best lap time in the afternoon session of test day 2 and improved understanding of the car before 1st event in Imola next week. The final classification of the test is a mix of lap times done in the morning on a fresh and quicker track and the afternoon where Lopez set 4th quickest time and Fauzy 16th.

Jean-Paul Driot, Team Principal : "We do not know exactly the level of every one in GP2 as every day was different during all the pre-season testing, but in the last 2 Tests we have been consistent in the top 5 with Lopez and it must be a good sign. But the main satisfaction for me today is that the problem we have on Fairuz car since Paul Ricard Test has been fixed. Fairuz has catched up a lot of all the experience lost in the previous tests when he had so many reliability problems. We are now fixing the last details before going to Imola, with the pressure of the event everything will be different there."
