Davide Rigon to Jerez with Campos
Intense week for Davide Rigon: waiting to take part in the fifth meeting of the Superleague Formula on the Vallelunga track of Vicenza was called by the team Campos, outgoing champion team, to take part in the day to test the collective GP2 Main Series on the track spanish.
For Davide Rigon will debut at the wheel of the Dallara GP2 2008, having participated last winter to test the collective French track of Paul Ricard at the wheel of the first single-seater version, as a reward for winning the Italian title and European F.3000: in the Vicenza that had marked the 9th absolute time of 65 pilots, making it the second best rooky.
This is a very delicate time for Davide Rigon as the teams will decide the line-up for next season: currently the palmares of Rigon in Superleague Formula has a pole position, two wins, third place and important places that have launched in climb the leaderboard. Despite his young age was able to have the better drivers with more experience, the likes of former F1 Robert Doorbons, Antonio Pizzonia and former GP2 Adrian Valles, Borja Garcia, Andy Soucek.
"I am really pleased to be able to return to drive a GP2 and, above all, you can do with a team as important as the team Campos. For me it will be the first time both on the track in Jerez with the new Dallara 2008, having tested only last winter the first version Dallara as a reward for having won the championship F.3000. For me it will be a great opportunity to show once again my potential and, therefore, I will try to exploit it in the best possible way. I am in a good time and are physically ready, as shown in my results Superleague Formula. "
