Durango and Frank Perera still at the top at Jerez The winning partnership between Durango and the French driver Frank Perera was confirmed at the Spanish circuit, Jerez de la Frontera. At the third meeting of the winter tests for the GP2 championship the cars were driven by Bruce Jouanny and Frank Perera. The French driver confirmed his positive form by recording the second best time of the day. On the first day at the Jerez circuit, Bruce Jouanny encountered some difficulties mainly due to it being his first race of the year in GP2.
Frank Perera Time: 1:27.853
"This test day at Jerez has been demanding. In fact, Jerez is certainly amongst the most difficult of all the circuits. Well done to Antonio Pizzonia for clocking the best lap"
Bruce Jouanny Time: 1:29.892
"I knew my return to GP2 wasn't going to be easy. I had some difficulties given that it was my first time in a car with slick tyres. It's a pity my best lap was effected by some problems on the track which penalized the overall time"
Tomorrow the Japanese, Hiroki Yoshimoto, and the Brazilian, Alberto Valerio, will be representing Durango.
