Ocean Racing Technology in the streets of Monaco
The Portuguese team returns to the most prestigious race in the world
Ocean Racing Technology has descended upon the city, and more specifically into the streets of the principality of Monaco for the 5th and 6th races of the GP2 Main Series, which takes place close on the heels of the Barcelona races. Last weekend, Ocean Racing Technology found a competitive race pace, and its race strategies were also adapted to managing the Pirelli tyres. The team, managed by Tiago Monteiro et José Guedes is proud of participating in a legendary meeting for all participants and which will take place just before the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The Monaco street track might have the lowest speed average of the season, but it holds the most traps for cars and drivers alike. This year, teams will have to face a new challenge in the form of tyre degradation. In Monaco, the action does not just take place on the track. In the paddocks and streets of Monaco, celebrities and sponsors are everywhere, for a meeting that no one wants to miss. Ocean Racing Technology's colors resonate with the Mediterranean Sea, which serves as a backdrop for the weekend's races.

For Johnny Cecotto Jr. and Kevin Mirocha, the privilege of racing in Monaco is a unique moment, the dream of every professional driver. "Monaco is very special, but it's my favorite circuit," explained Johnny Cecotto Jr. "We wait all year to be able to race here. It is a unique spectacle. I am confident, nothing would make me happier then concluding this weekend with a podium."
Kevin Mirocha also thinks that Monaco has no peer on the championship calendar. "There are not many tracks that are so demanding. With the tyre degradation, everything can get even more complicated. But I am confident, and above all very optimistic about racing in Monaco."
The GP2 Main Series races will be broadcast on a delay by Eurosport on Friday, May 27 at 11:45 p.m. and Saturday, May 28 at 8:45 p.m.
