Nurburgring: DAMS team qualifying report

Lopez 6TH & FAUZY 24TH AT NURBURGRING QUALIFYING

One more time Lopez and DAMS managed to be in the most competitive group despite changing conditions from the morning and proved once again that they make part of a very few who manage to be regular in the fastest cars. Unfortunately with a gap of 4 tenths of a second over the pole Jose-Maria Lopez is taking a disappointing 6th place. Lopez suffered once again of gearbox problems which probably cost him a place in the top 3.

Fairuz Fauzy who was driving at Nurburgring for the first time had some difficulties to adapt to the changing conditions of the track, which was 5 seconds faster in the afternoon than in the morning. He will start from a difficult place but as he showed at Barcelone the quality of his race starts and his fighting spirit in race will give him the opportunity to show his talent tomorrow.
