First constructive test day for the GP2 teams
Overall best lap time for Alexandre Premat
The whole teams of the GP2 Series met today for a two days test session at the Paul Ricard HTTT. The 26 drivers started to work on the development and the set-up of the cars.
The drivers and their team-managers had a good weather (cloudy, no wind and track temperature of 17C) and realised some 5600 km on the 3D (3,853km) track solution.
ART Grand Prix had a good day placing its two single-seaters in top six. French driver Alexandre Premat signed the overall best lap time setting 1:12.887, some 3 tenth faster than the first of his 25 contenders, Argentinian driver Jose Maria Lopez (Supernova - 01 :13.200). Today's lap time (Alexandre Premat) is only 5/100th slower than his team mate, British driver Lewis Hamilton with ART Grand Prix last February 22th on the same track solution.
The program will continue tomorrow on the same track solution.
