Javier Villa returns this weekend to the track where he started his GP2 series racing at the beginning of 2006: the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Cheste (Valencia) in Spain that will host last race meeting of the season.

A year and a few months later several things haven't changed, Javi is still the youngest driver on the GP2 grid and will race again at the wheel of the Racing Engineering Dallara. However several others have, back then Villa was a rookie looking to gain as much experience as possible, now the Spaniard is a driver to bear in mind for the battle for the top positions, as he already has three wins, a second place and a fourth, and he is arriving at the last race meeting of the season involved in the close fight to finish within the top five for the championship.

Javier Villa's second GP2 season has been very positive and with the results collected so far, Javi has already more than achieved his preseason targets. At Valencia he's aiming to close the year on a high with a great result on a track he knows very well and where will have all the support of the home crowd.

GP2 will be the main attraction this weekend at the Valencia track and the high number of Spanish drivers on the grid will surely mean a sell out in the stands that surround the twisty track like a football stadium. After getting great support last week during his exhibition on the streets of Oviedo, Javier is looking forward to giving his thousands of fans, that will follow him closely on the last race of the year, even more reason to cheer.

Not having to share time and space with F1 means that the GP2 series timetable at Valencia will be different from the usual schedule. The always crucial qualifying session takes place this time on Saturday morning, with the feature race being held at its normal time, in the afternoon. On Sunday, the GP2 drivers will have an extra 20 minutes warm-up session early in the morning before getting to the grid for the sprint race, the last of the year, at midday
